Its funny how guys seem to always end up sharing their so-called lovelives with me. Their never-ending stories of their encounters with the girl they fancy make me realize how hard it really is to be a guy. The most common case would have to be the "I-love-this-girl-who-doesnt-even-know-I-exist" scenario. It takes them a bucketfull of sweat and a whole lot of blood to even say hi to that girl they've been thinking of all day. Their hearts drop to the floor whenever they catch a sight of their crush talking to that hunky baller. They dread the minute they come across "her" for the fear of goofing up and looking like an idiot in front of (insert crush' codename here).
Haay.
To you guys out there, just better make sure that she deserves all that attention, prayers, late-night rants, butterflies, tears, and of course, that four-letter word.
If she is, then you'll know she's worth all that.
Even though at times, you end up being the underdog, breaking your heart night after night no matter how hard you try...if you're not ready to give up, then dont.
That's the thing about love...fighting without knowing how to win.
But if you think youve had too much already and youre ready to let go, then go ahead and do so.
Sometimes, it is in letting go that we realize how much we've been missing...and how much we've got left to find. =)

We finally got to execute the "clue hunt" and surprise for Jana and Chrissie. Even though we only got to gather a few people to eat the scrumptious chocolate cake, I sure hope those 2 girls enjoyed the little celebration.

Art Attack
Ive always been a fan of artists.
Not just because I envy their great talent, but also because I secretly aspire to be one.
I used to fancy the sights, the lights, the angles, and the clicks.
And I still do.

My jaw drops for every shot that strikes me.
My eyes sparkles with awe at every panorama.

To me, it is as if the photos come alive - and that is one great power.

Uh oh. Long post.
People have been telling me that Im the kind of person who doesnt even have an idea of how to get mad. I usually just let things pass and not mind the little mishaps that befall me. But today, Ive been unusually "sensitive" and I let certain things affect me.

And NO, I did not "cry" during Math period when Sir Ezzie substituted for Ms Bing. I was just really sleepy then. Pramis. (haha)

But yes, Fio was right. I was about to blow. Kinda.
Una, di nagpaapekto. Pero nung lumala, napaisip na lang ako, "Teka, dapat napipikon na ako ah?" Lol.

But surprisingly, I didnt. "Pikon" wouldnt be the word for it. Whatever it is that Im feeling isnt even directed towards a person/s. It's nothing like that at all. (So please, baka mamaya malaman ko na naman may affected dahil sa mga pinaglalalagay ko dito O:)

Im actually hassle-d by my whole "unfamiliarity" of the things that have been happening.

Owel. Buti na lang I still have friends who are always ready to talk me through everything. Kahit sobraaaaaaaaaaang mababaw at laughtrip, I appreciate their concern for me. :)

My "monthly visitor's" probably due to come anytime now. So that's probably why Ive been acting all weird lately... Lol.

Anyway, enough blabbing.
I'll probably end up NOT accomplishing anything again if I my bum stays stuck to this computer chair the whole evening.

I dont even have a write-up yeeeeeeet! Wuah.

Oh, and Im a household head nga pala for YFC. Yay! :P
I wanted to be active in YFC again, since I wasnt able to join LSYC. So now's the perfect time to bring out the YFC-er in me.
I need it. O:

I'll be going to someone's house tomorrow for the household training. AND THEN, they told me that there'd be a YFC SB-6(?) party tomorrow night inside the village. (Woohoo) Hopefully, Id be present, not only in spirit, but also in flesh (let's cross our fingers now, shall we?). Haha. =P

J.D. Fortune Wins Rock Star INXS

After 32 shows and 14 booted contestants, J.D. Fortune took home the rock 'n' roll gold in last night's finale of Rock Star: INXS.

The Rock Star finale had Fortune and the other Final Three contestants competing onstage. Finalist Mig Ayesa performed Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" — a song he knows well from performing in the Queen musical in London — while Marty Casey took a second, more restrained, stab at Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here." J.D., meanwhile, attempted a song he had not yet performed, The Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want," a tune he plans to have played at his funeral. Cheerful stuff, but it impressed the band, who subsequently tossed out Ayesa.

In the final round, Casey and Fortune faced off with the members of INXS finally taking the stage to back them up. Fortune's performance of "What You Need" apparently hit the spot for the band, who decided the singer fit like their missing puzzle piece. Dramatic to the end, J.D. fell to his knees with tears streaming when the band announced their choice.
You won't have to wait long for new INXS material, as the band have already recorded most of the music and just need to slot in Fortune's vocals. Switch will hit stores November 29, preceded by the single Fortune penned on the show, "Pretty Vegas," which will debut on iTunes October 4.

Aussie Ayesa too 'nice' for INXS

They say nice guys finish last but for Mig Ayesa, the Australian contestant on Rock Star: INXS, it was a case of the nice guy finishing third.
"Maybe I was too nice," Ayesa said from Los Angeles after missing out on becoming the new INXS lead singer.


"Rock n' roll is supposed to be dangerous and hard and I guess I was probably a bit too nice, but at the same time, that is who I am.
"If they (INXS) don't think that is the image that suits the band, then fair enough. I stuck with the rules and maybe that was in the end what did me in."

"I definitely haven't given up my aspirations of being a rock star," Ayesa said.
"Hopefully I have proven myself as a rock star, just not for INXS.
"There are people who have expressed some interest so I can explore that and hopefully I will have a record or at least a contract pretty soon."
Ayesa developed a strong female following during his time on the show, particularly among older women.
Each week a group of mothers, armed with banners reading "Mums for Mig", would go the studio to get a fix of the 35-year-old singer.
"JD and Marty had these people throwing G-strings at them on stage and I had mums throwing big knickers at me.
"I think that would have played a lot on INXS' mind."
That said, Ayesa admits to playing the sexy card, often taking his shirt off to reveal cut abs and a muscly chest.
"Just because I am a nice guy, it doesn't mean I am not sexy," Ayesa said.
"I celebrate my sexuality and it is something that I exude on stage."


I was expecting JD to win. He was, after all, INXS-material. And I was actually betting on him.
Marty Casey was still exceptional though. His talent and meekness rocks.
Mig IS kinda gay-ish (good gaydar, Marge) after all. But nothing can be hotter than the fact that he mentioned the Philippines when he was booted out..and that he's still nice and humble...and those abs...and that voice. =D

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
Jana and Chrissie's birthdays are coming up. This'll probably be the last birthday celebration (for them) with the whole barkada. Just the thought of that breaks my heart.
We kind of gave away our supposed surprise for them. Nag-plan ba naman kami sa harap nila. Hehe. Having had watched One Tree Hill (Season 2) last night on ETC gave me the idea of letting the 2 celebrants (or is it "celebrators?") go on a clue-hunt: complete with dares, trivias, and gifts. Hope we pull it off :P

The whole birthday fuss got Danielle and I thinking of our own upcoming debuts. (Its in 6 months, malapit na rin yun, hehe). People have already planned to go to Bora on March 27 (my 18th birthday) so hassle if I celebrate it here, coz then, no one will be left here in Manila to come to the party. Since Da and I plan to celebrate together, we were considering throwing a party on the week after our 3rd term finals - the week before the grad pracs - but then that would be a too-early celebration for my birthday. We were also thinking of celebrating it early April...1, 2 or 3...but then that would be too late already, and people would be hard to reach. o:

Haay. Owel. Bahala na.

We got to think of cool concepts though. If we were to celebrate in Bora, we'd throw the party by the shore: complete with an uber big bonfire (just like the one they did in The OC, hehe), loud sounds, loads of food, and fancy lights. Add to that the breeze of the sea, the sun setting in the background, and guys with their suits on (without polos inside, para pakita ang mga abs, haha), and girls in fancy dresses (pero syempre mas "bongga" yung sa debutantes, haha). Instead of the usual 18 candles and gifts and stuff, we'd have 18 songs, 18 dances, 18 favorite things, 18 secrets-revealed, etc. With that setting, the debutantes wouldnt be the only people who'd have fun. We want our guests and friends to have fun too.

Go Zobel!
We got to watch part of the soccer team's game today. *All hail the athletes*

Fio, Pao, and I were called to the guidance office this afternoon for this "exit interview" (its this routine-interview that they give Senior students). We got to talk about a lot of stuff regarding Zobel, its programs, curriculum, environment...college, careers, and proper English usage (haha). We also got to chat about Zobel's support for its sports programs...and the lack thereof. Aside from the Track team (lol), the soccer team has been unjustly undervalued by the school. Sila na nga yung laging nanalo, sila na nga yung matitino, sila na nga yung nagpapakahirap... and yet the administration doesnt even seem to notice them. If not for their hard-to-miss coach (who must be the only person who can legally curse and smoke inside the campus), their undying dedication, and their exceptional athleticism, they'd probably lose the will to keep on playing. But I admire all these athletes (soccer, tennis, swimming, baseball, TRACK, lol...) for still having the heart to continue on doing what they love.


(Hope I dont sound subversive here. Hehe. I still love mah Alma Mater. =P)

Points to Ponder

Since light travels faster than the speed of sound, people appear bright until you talk to them.

Before when I was a kid I would pray every night for that new bike I wanted. Then later on I realized the Lord doesnt work that way. So I stole one and I asked Him to forgive me instead.

Before you go and criticize someone, remember to walk a mile in their shoes. That way youll be a mile away when you criticize them and have their shoes as well.

If you ever need to borrow money, always remember to borrow from a pessimist. They never expect it back anyway.

My Lolo's 68. His bride (now my Lola) is 48.

Truly, love knows no boundaries. :)

And alas, I found hope. I wont end up being an old maid after all. :P
